Mike, co-owner of Heffernan Build & Remodel, brings 30 years of experience rooted in high-end custom home construction. His exceptional communication and organizational skills foster enduring partnerships with both clients and vendors. Mike’s meticulous approach and unwavering commitment ensure every project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. A University of Massachusetts graduate in Business and Criminal Justice, he lives in Westford with his black Labrador, Rocky. In his free time, Mike enjoys racing, snowmobiling, and fishing.
As co-owner, Tom oversees all financial management and day-to-day operations at Heffernan Build & Remodel. With over 25 years in the industry—including a tenure as a project manager for a custom home builder on the North Shore—he brings deep expertise and a results-driven mindset to every engagement. Tom’s meticulous attention to detail and steadfast work ethic ensure clients receive accurate, realistic budgets and transparent estimates. A Villanova University graduate in Business and Mechanical Engineering, Tom lives in Acton with his wife, Amy; their two daughters, Molly and Katie; and their Labradors, Riker and Harvey. Outside the office, he coaches youth hockey, enjoys boating, and plays golf. He also contributes locally as a five-year member of the Acton Discovery Museum’s Building & Sustainability Committee and as a member of the St. Sebastian’s School Alumni Committee in Needham.
Frank brings over 40 years of carpentry expertise to Heffernan Build & Remodel, having crafted and renovated many of Concord’s most intricate custom homes. His deep technical knowledge and unwavering professionalism transform architects’ and clients’ visions into flawless reality. Frank’s meticulous attention to detail sets the standard for quality on every job, and he personally onboards every new hire in the “HBR Way,” ensuring they master the company’s signature approach to craftsmanship. His lifelong dedication to refining best practices has been an invaluable asset to the team. When he’s not on the job, Frank reconnects with nature through fishing and hunting.

Jason brings more than 30 years of carpentry expertise rooted in a family tradition of craftsmanship. His versatile skill set—from rough framing and finish carpentry to custom millwork—has shaped everything from historic homes to modern residences across the Boston area. Known for his precision, adaptability, and collaborative spirit, Jason tackles every challenge with thoughtful problem-solving and an unwavering commitment to quality. Outside of work, Jason treasures time with his family and exploring Maine’s rugged coastline.
Andy ranks among HBR’s longest-tenured team members, combining decades of carpentry experience with the precision honed as an aircraft mechanic. Under the mentorship of successive Lead Carpenters, he’s mastered every facet of the trade to bring each project’s vision to life. His meticulous attention to detail elevates our workmanship, and his genuine, friendly smile ensures every client interaction is a positive one. When he’s not on the job, Andy can be found conquering New Hampshire’s White Mountains on challenging hikes, bringing the same determination and focus to the trails that he applies to every build.
Ben embodies HBR’s next generation of carpentry talent. He honed his custom-framing expertise under the tutelage of his father and teammate, Frank, then translated those lessons into a relentless work ethic that powers him through the toughest projects. His can-do attitude—and refusal to back down from any challenge—has become a catalyst for HBR’s ongoing growth. When he’s not on the job, Ben channels his love of nature and precision into hunting, fishing, and camping.
